Let’s get down to it, time for a little update!
Summer is in FULL swing and Oh Boy, has it been a HOT one so far. I try to not “complain” too much about the hot (humid) weather. Summer is my happy time! I love being able to spend a couple hours at the beach, watching (and listening) to the waves and soaking up the sunshine whenever my heart desires. Living 10 minutes from the ocean is heavenly. If you know me, I’m NOT a winter, cold weather gal whatsoever. Nope and Nope.
My 3 kids are enjoying sleeping in and staying up late (me too, lol). Our summer must-do and must-watch lists are a hit. Total lifesaver on those I’m bored days. Everyone gets to contribute and add their own ideas which is of utmost priority with pre-teens & teens. But overall summer life is chill and laidback. Just the way we like it.
We’re heading to Omaha (our hometown) tomorrow for a 3-week vacation with family and friends. It sure is hard living far away from family and best friends. I’m so grateful for our long summer visits. Plus, it’s a perfect time to change things up and have fun somewhere else. Thankfully, my kids don’t start back to school until after Labor Day. Yippee! For all you teachers, parents & students heading back in August…best of luck to you all for a stress-free start! Have an amazing new school year!
