🌼🌻🌹Spring is almost here! 1 more week, if you’re counting.
I’m so for this! I’m not a Winter person so I’m definitely welcoming in the new season. Plus, my countdown calendar reads: 48 days! I will be visiting Universal Orlando/Walt Disney World the first week of May! Yippee!! It will be my first ever May the Fourth visit to Hollywood Studios, and I’m geeking out just thinking about it. Looking forward to visiting lots of resorts at both WDW & Universal, trying some yummy eats & drinks, and most of all, having a most MAGICAL time! Anyone else planning a Spring Vacation? 💖

1. 🌺🐝Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival is happening now thru July 4. This is easily my favorite Epcot festival. Why? The topiaries! Not only do you get to taste (and drink) your way around the World Showcase, but you can also check out the beautiful character topiaries located throughout Epcot! There is also a really fun scavenger hunt, Spike the Bee’s Pollination Exploration.
🐰You can also expect a fun Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt, too (dates TBA)! On top of that, many Walt Disney World resorts will have gorgeous Easter egg displays! I went to this festival last year and it was phenomenal. Check out my Blog Post from May 1, 2021! You can expect another fun review from my upcoming May visit!

2. ⚽🏈All-Star Sports Resort will finally be re-opening March 31st! Booking now. I can’t wait to see the newly refurbished rooms and resort! So happy that (finally) all the Disney World resorts are open again! Check out my recent Blog Post, the Value Resort Report.
3. 💙At Walt Disney World, Face coverings are once again OPTIONAL for vaccinated guests and encouraged for non-vaccinated guests. However, masks are still required for ALL Guests onboard Disney’s transportation: buses, monorail, boats, and Skyliner. At Universal Orlando, Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated guests. For guests who have not been vaccinated, face coverings are encouraged while indoors.
4. 💫 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is expected to open Memorial Day weekend 2022! Height requirements: 42 inches. Expect BIG crowds over the holiday and extra craziness at Epcot when this attraction opens!
5. 🛳Disney Cruise Line update: face coverings on Disney Cruise Line will become optional in most indoor locations throughout our ships.
6. 🧞♀️More Experiences are being added to Disney Genie+: check your Disney Genie Tip Board often. Biggest change: Frozen Ever After, Space Mountain and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway are temporarily being offered as Disney Genie+ selection! Now thru August 7, 2022. When you book your vacation with me, you’ll get all the ins/outs and best tips on how to use Disney Genie+ like a pro!
7. ⏲Park Hours have been EXTENDED! Please make sure you check the times prior to your arrival and plan accordingly. This is especially important for early park admission at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. Don’t forget to take advantage of the Extended Evening Hours for Disney Deluxe Hotel guests only…game changer, people! Very LOW crowds & wait times!
8. ✨Disney just announced that the Boardwalk Inn will undergo enhancements and refurbishments over the next few years! New lobby design, room “refresh”, new coffee bar, new table-service restaurant and more! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Villas will also be undergoing a refurb…work beginning now. At Universal Orlando, the Hard Rock Hotel exterior & roof construction will be ongoing thru September 2022.
9. 🎆Disneyland’s Toontown is closed until 2023 while it undergoes a BIG transformation! Disneyland/California Adventure Park announced the return of Nighttime spectaculars! Main Street Electrical Parade & World of Color return April 22. Fantasmic returns May 28. Awesome news!
🐰Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park & Downtown Disney will also host some really fun Easter egg hunts this spring.
10. 🍷Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is happening now thru April 26.
11. 🎉Universal Orlando Resort is celebrating MARDI GRAS now thru April 24th!
12. 🎮Universal Hollywood announced Super Nintendo World will open in 2023.
13. 📸More Capture your Moments being offered at WDW: $79 per 20-minute private photo session, up to 8 guests. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios (available March 21).
